IN THE PHOTO OF THE NEW CLOGGSVILLE, THE TRACK ON THE RIGHT IS THE CLOGGSVILLE LINE COMMING OFF OF NS's CLEVELAND LINE. THIS LINE IS USED TO DIVERGE EXCESS TRAFFIC OFF OF THE CLEVELAND LINE. IT HOOKS UP WITH EX- CONRAIL'S ROCKPORT YARD. ONCE A TRAIN IS THERE IT CAN HEAD TO CHICAGO OR TRANSFER BACK TO THE CLEVELAND LINE IN VERMILLION, OH WHERE THERE IS ANOTHER NEW CONNECTION AND THE TRAIN WOULD THEN OF COURSE BE HEADED FOR BELLEVUE YARD. IF YOU LOOK WHERE THE TRACK BENDS, YOU CAN SEE THEY ARE STARTING ANOTHER TRACK THERE. THIS LINE HAS SINCE BEEN UPGRADED TO DOUBLE TRACK ALL THE WAY TO ROCKPORT YARD. |
